Grey Sergio Rossi knee boots from the 2000s, joining suede shafts to printed leather on a platform and 12 cm heel. A shoemaking house working with contrasts of texture in a single colour.
These Sergio Rossi knee boots date from the 2000s. Grey suede shafts meet grey printed leather lower boots, set on a 1.5 cm platform with a 12 cm heel.
One colour, two textures.
Sergio Rossi began as a shoemaker in San Mauro Pascoli, in Italy's Romagna region, an area long associated with footwear production. In 1999 the brand became part of the Gucci Group.
High-heeled knee boots, often on a platform, were widely worn in the 2000s, with skirts, dresses and slim trousers.
The suede shaft is soft and matt, while the printed leather below adds pattern and a firmer surface where the boot takes most wear. The platform balances the height of the heel.
Height, balanced by the platform.
Designer footwear from the 2000s is drawing new attention as the style of the period returns. Boots in like-new condition show the construction and materials as intended.
Designer boots from the 2000s are in demand as the period's style returns.
Boots are worn hard, so pairs in like-new condition are found less often.
Footwear from Italy's shoemaking districts remains a reference for quality.
