This Christian Dior pot dates from the mid-1960s. It is silver-plated with an ebony-coloured Bakelite handle, and is marked on the base.

In the 1960s, under Marc Bohan, the Dior name extended beyond fashion into accessories and objects for the home.
The design follows the Art Deco balance of structure and ornament.
